Fabulous 8bit is a label dedicated to creating high-quality homebrew games for the MSX retro computer system. Since 2020, we have found beauty in the constraints of the system and pushing the limits of the hardware with every release. The label was founded by Pål Frogner Hansen, a Z80 enthusiast and former game developer who acts as the main driver. Fabulous 8bit's titles feature contributions from others in the scene, including Wolf on music and Julie Trevland on cover art. Go Figure – a rhythm platformer for the retro 8bit MSX2 platform. Lilly's Saga, our first title, released!

Fabulous 8bit's first title called  Lilly’s Saga – The Stones of Evergreen  has been released. It was first released via the annual MSX community competition  MSXdev  in October 2022 as a free, downloadable version, and on cartridge in a Premium version in September 2023 .
